Landing pages and forms

Pages built for the ads that point to them

Single-purpose landing pages with a clear offer, a short form and tracking that records every submission.

A page built for one campaign

Paid campaigns usually need a destination built for them. A landing page is that destination: a standalone page, often without a menu, written for the people one campaign is aimed at.

A page for a search campaign on "emergency roof tarping" reads differently from one for a paid social campaign aimed at property managers. The first visitor is searching with a problem in hand. The second was scrolling and saw something relevant. The page copy, length and form should reflect that difference.

This service covers building those pages, the forms on them, the thank-you page, consent wording and the basic tracking needed to count submissions. Your ad accounts, domain and lead data stay yours throughout.

How a landing page build runs

Most landing page projects follow the same order:

  1. Brief. You share the offer, the campaigns, who the page is for and what the sales team needs from each request.
  2. Draft. Copy and a layout are drafted for phones first, then checked on a desktop screen.
  3. Form and consent. The form is built, your approved consent text is placed beside the button, and the privacy link is added.
  4. Thank-you page and tracking. The confirmation page is created and submissions are recorded once in GA4 and in each ad platform.
  5. Test submissions. Test entries go through on several devices to confirm they arrive where they should.
  6. Launch. Ads are pointed at the page, usually by whoever manages them.

Changes after launch are made in small, deliberate steps so you can tell what each one did.

Access and assets to have ready

Projects stall most often while someone looks for a login. Gathering these before work starts helps:

  • Admin or editor access to your website or page builder, added as a separate user
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings, if a new subdomain is needed
  • Your logo in a sharp format and your brand colors
  • Photos you own or have licensed for this use
  • The address that should receive form submissions, or CRM access
  • Your privacy policy link
  • Access to Google Tag Manager, GA4 and your ad accounts for tracking

Share access by adding users, not by sending passwords. Most platforms support this, and it makes removing access at the end a matter of a few clicks.

Questions about landing pages and forms

How many fields should a lead form have?

Only as many as your follow-up uses. Name and a way to reach the person are the core. Add a service type or company name if your team sorts requests by them. Each field you add asks a bit more of the visitor, so cut any that nobody reads.

Can a landing page live on my own domain?

Usually, yes. Most page builders let you connect a subdomain you own, and pages can also be built directly on your existing site. Keeping pages on your domain helps visitors trust where they are and keeps the setup portable if you change providers.

What makes a landing page slow?

Large images, many fonts, video backgrounds and third-party scripts such as chat widgets and tracking pixels are the common causes. Google's PageSpeed Insights shows what is loading and what is slowing it down on a typical phone. Most fixes are about removing or compressing things.
